libbind-dev software package provides Static Libraries and Headers used by BIND, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libbind-dev
libbind-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libbind-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libbind-dev *
You will get with libbind-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
